Fallen Angels Charity Golf TournamentOn Thursday, June 23, 2011, family members, members of the EMS and firefighting communities and the public gathered for the Air Medical Memorial groundbreaking ceremony.

Attendees included honor guards from around the country and representatives from regional and national air medical flight programs. Aircraft from AirLife Denver, Flight For Life Colorado and North Colorado Med Evac participated in the event. This ceremony signified the beginning of the final stages of design and capital fundraising for this project.

When complete, the memorial, Survivor's Garden and Air Medical Memorial Park will occupy an area approximately 6 acres in size and will feature multiple sculptures, landscaping and a wall displaying honoree names. To learn more about this project, please visit the memorial page.

The ceremony presentation was as follows:

4:00 p.m. Site Open for touring and placing of items at the makeshift memorial.
4:30 p.m. Flag Raising

5:10 p.m. Helicopter Fly-in - Aircraft from regional air medical flight programs
5:30 p.m. Ceremony Begins
