Let us pray
O God, You are the Lord of the Skies
and yet you know every human heart.

You weep with us in our pain
and always,
You seek to bring healing.

We come before You today,
To honor and remember
all those who have lost their lives.
Sacred and holy was their work
and all that they gave in service to others.

We seek to honor them, and to honor You
By dedicating and blessing this place this day.

We know that You work through us, O God,
and so we give thanks

for those here today, who have labored long to create this place,
for the Survivors, whose courage and words bring Light and hope to so many who suffer still,
and for the families and loved ones here today, whose very presence reminds us that wounds and scars never go away,
but can be transformed and made sacred by remembering, listening and sharing with open hearts, and care and compassion.

Bless now our words and actions, O Lord,
And may healing come through all that we do and say this day.

In Your Holy name we pray, Amen.
