About the Park

The Air Medical Memorial received a land donation of six acres of open space near Denver, Colorado. This land, which will be home to the Air Medical Memorial and Survivors Garden, will become a park that connects to the Foothills, South Suburban and Denver Parks, open space and recreation districts as well as Chatfield State Park and Reservoir by bike and walking trail.

The site is close to the Denver metropolitan area, is easily accessible, and is in a location that provides a serene setting with a number of scenic overlooks. This park is located at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills in Jefferson County, Colorado.

In addition to the Air Medical Memorial and Survivors Garden, the park will include a sculpture dedicated to those lost in the line of duty by artist Mark Lundeen, and a sculpture dedicated to survivors of EMS accidents by artist Lisbeth Sabol.

You may submit as many suggestions as you would like using the form below. Name selection will be announced January 1st, 2011.
